Eldorado

Nova Eldorado, developed for ABC Embralot in Eldorado do Sul (RS), emerged in response to extreme climate events that exposed the fragility of conventional urban models. The proposal is grounded in the idea that adaptation is not a reaction, but a design principle.

Plantar articulates territorial vision with attention to detail, integrating infrastructure, environment, and community life into a living, resilient landscape. Nature-Based Solutions structure the project: retention lakes act as flood regulators while creating active landscapes, connected by ecological corridors that enhance biodiversity and environmental continuity.

Drainage prioritizes permeability through rain gardens and vegetated swales that reconnect the urban fabric to natural water cycles. Native, adaptable plant species reduce maintenance demands and reinforce resilience. The project was selected by the São Paulo International Architecture Biennale as an example of how urban landscape design can address contemporary challenges without compromising quality of experience and urban beauty.

Nova Eldorado transforms infrastructure into identity—creating a climate-ready neighborhood that is generous in everyday life and deeply connected to nature.

7 Large lakes with urban parks along their edges.
