A New Cycle: Plantar
After nearly a decade of trajectory, Estúdio Plantar Ideias now presents itself simply as Plantar.
More than a name change, this transformation represents the consolidation of a cycle of maturation within the company — a natural evolution of the brand, aligned with the way it has already been perceived and referred to by clients, partners, and collaborators.
Over the years, it became common to hear:
“Let’s talk to Plantar.”
“This project was designed by Plantar.”
This spontaneous use revealed something important: the essence of the brand had already moved beyond the original form of its name.
The change therefore emerges from a process of listening and reflection on the company’s own trajectory. The name Plantar Ideias carried an important symbolic value, connected to the studio’s origins and sensibility. By adopting the name Plantar, the brand becomes clearer, more direct, and more institutional — without losing the essence that has always guided it.
1. A path of growth
Founded at the intersection of architecture, landscape, and design, Plantar has built its trajectory by operating across multiple scales — from the design of objects and shared spaces to the structuring of parks, territories, and complex urban projects.
This multidisciplinary approach — connecting landscape, city, architecture, and design — has always been at the core of the studio’s practice.
Throughout this journey, the firm expanded its work in both public and private projects across different regions of Brazil, structuring solutions capable of qualifying territories, strengthening relationships, and generating social, environmental, and economic impact.
Today, this experience translates into a clear vision:
designing spaces also means articulating the systems, agents, and dynamics that shape a territory.
2. Rationality and sensibility
While the name change marks a new moment, the principles guiding the company remain the same.
Plantar continues to be guided by the balance between rationality and sensibility — an equilibrium between technical rigor, design intelligence, and a sensitive reading of the contexts where it operates.
Every project begins with listening to the territory and understanding the relationships that structure it. From there, solutions are designed to qualify spaces, activate dynamics, and generate positive impact.
More than designing forms, Plantar’s practice seeks to organize relationships and strengthen urban and environmental ecosystems.
3. From object to territory
Another defining characteristic of the studio’s practice is its multiscalar approach.
The same design intelligence that guides the creation of an urban bench or a plaza is also present in the structuring of parks, neighborhoods, and broader urban systems.
This integrated vision allows each design decision — even at the smallest scale — to engage with broader transformations in the territory.
4. A new chapter
The transition from Plantar Ideias to Plantar does not represent a break with the company’s history, but rather a step forward.
It formalizes something that had already been happening:
a brand that has matured, expanded its practice, and consolidated its vision of the role of design in transforming territories.
With this new cycle, Plantar seeks to communicate more clearly what has always been at its core:
a practice that combines strategy and sensibility to create places that strengthen relationships between people, nature, and the city.
We continue planting — now with a name that more precisely expresses who we are today and the future we aim to build.
